11th Win to close out the Season

On today’s sunny autumn day, the 2022 Landesliga season came to a close for our 15U with the 11th victory in 12 games.

The team around the coaches Max and Holger won with 17:2 against the guests from Aachen. It was a solid team performance at all positions to secure the win in the final game if the year.

The team would like to say a special thank you to all parents for the great support throughout the season in training, games and catering.

15U Landesliga in Bonn

At today’s away game in Bonn, our 15U in the Landesliga showed a great performance after the previous loss in Cologne.

Till, Damiano and Taiga shone on the mound and Leon and Oliver convinced as catchers. From the first inning onward, the team around the coaches Holger, Koji, Satoshi, Shigeyuki and Taro showed a high level of concentration. Overall, the team only allowed one hit and Alvar, Jakob, Masa, So, Sakuta and Miu were successful at bat. After the 5th inning, the score was 0:13. Thank you to all parents for the good support.

Season long winning streak ends in Cologne

On Sunday the 15U traveled to Cologne for an exciting Landesliga division face off against the Cardinals.

After a back and forth exchange up until the middle innings the team surrounding Coaches Max, Holger and Till, was able to a commanding 12:8 lead, putting the pressure on the hosts. Seemingly unfazed however, the Cardinals were able to mount a come back including their second Home Run of the day, which the young Senators team was unable to find answer to.

A well rounded team performance was not enough to earn their 11th Victory in a row, but more than enough to earn a standing ovation by the parents in the stands for the most exciting game yet.

Win in Aachen

For this weeks Landesliga game the 15U visited Aachen. The Senators, one of the many teams playing out of competition this year, faced off against young Greyhounds. Therefore the experienced team from Düsseldorf was able to swiftly beat their up and coming counterpart.

Senators 15U victorious again

Guests for the 15U’s LL home game were the Goose-Necks. Throughout the hot day the the boys were able to keep their cool the whole time. The team surrounding Coaches Holger, Till und David only allowed one run.In the 5th the game ended prematurely by 10 run rule with the final score of 12:1. Thank you to all the invested parents for your support.

Clear victory over the Capitals 2

This Sunday the sun was out when our 15U welcomed the second team of the capitals for another game in the LL Division.
The guests from Bonn opened the first inning with a run. When our boys went to bat, the batting practice of the last few weeks paid off. The offensive prowess of the young senators went unmatched and offensively  the second team from offered little resistance.
The game ended prematurely in the third inning with a score of 21:1. Our 15U remain undefeated at the top of the standings.

15U wins the battle for the division lead

In today’s top game of the U15 LL division, the Kottenforst Saints were our guests at the Südallee. Our 15U, who have not been beaten so far, hosted the second-placed team, which had only lost one game. The first matchup against us.

The visitors started the first 2 innings with a strong pitcher and the guests also took a 5-1 lead thanks to a home run. The team around Holger and Till kept their cool and Mattheo, Masa, Sosuke and Damiano then showed a very good performance at bat. Our Senators went into the fourth inning with an 11-5 lead. On the mound, So, Sakuta, Paul and Yannick as well as Leon, Oliver and Liu as catchers performed well with just a few walks. In the Innings that followed, our boys showed a consistent team performance with great team spirit. The defense in particular was very stable with Paul, Valentin, Rayan and Max.

After an exciting game, our team left the field as the winner after the 6th inning with 16:11. The team especially thanks the Japanese fathers and all the parents for their great support.

With 19 runs to victory, again

When the temperatures were a little colder, our 15U played their first home game against the Cardinals from Cologne in the Landesliga Division. Max and Till made a brilliant comeback after a long injury break. Till opened the game on the mound and only allowed 2 runs with 2 strikeouts.

Our 15U then went to bat and the team spirit inspired our boys at bat: Sakuta hit a home run and one run after the other followed. Damiano, Max, Alvar, Massa, Rayan and Matheo were in top form – the scoreboard showed 11:2 after the first inning for the team coached by Max and Holger.

Interrupted by two rain delays, Yannick on the mound, Leon behind the Plate and Paul in the outfield were convincing in the second and third inning. The guests from Cologne were impressed by this strong performance and put up 5 more runs in the following innings. Due to many illness-related absences, Luka from the 12U team complemented our team with a solid performance in the fourth inning.

With this deserved 19:7 victory, our 15U remains undefeated at the top of the table in the division.

U15 Landesliga: Senators at Kottenforst Saints

On Mother’s Day, our 15U traveled to Bonn to face the Kottenforst Saints in a Landesliga matchup. In the best baseball weather, it was “play ball” at 3 p.m. and our Senators started with hot bats straight away. After the first inning, the hosts from Kottenforts had a narrow lead of 4:3.

In the following innings, the team around the coaches Max, Till and Holger showed great team spirit and attacked courageously.

Jakob, So and Leon were convincing on the mound and the good hitting practice paid off in attack, because Oliver, Rayan, Alvar and Malte were able to drive in a lot of runs. The infield also showed a stable defense with Damiano, Sosuke and Sakuta. In the last inning, Till ended the game with 2 strike-outs after a long injury break with a short appearance on the mound.

With this solid team performance, our Senators deservedly won 4 innings with 29:19. The team would like to thank all parents for their great support.
