Together, Brave, Connected
This year was not always easy. For none of us. And yet here we stand, as a team, as a community, as part of the softball family in Germany. The ladies of the Düsseldorf Senators have shown more this season than plays, runs, or wins. They have shown what is possible when people come together and support one another.
Softball is more than a sport to us. It is a space where girls and women are allowed to grow. No matter where they come from, no matter their social background, culture, or the doubts they carry with them. On the field, what tries to make you small does not matter. What matters is what makes you strong.
We believe that girls and women are more than they sometimes allow themselves to believe.
More courage. More strength. More voice. More space.
We see it every day in practice, in games, in the quiet moments after a mistake, and in the courage to stand back up afterward.
To the softball community in Düsseldorf, thank you for your support, your openness, and your heart. You make this sport a safe place where community is created and hope can grow.
As the year comes to an end, I want to leave you with this.
You belong here.
You are allowed to dream.
You are allowed to fail.
And you are always allowed to begin again.
Let us not just close this year, but carry it with us, as a reminder of what we can achieve together.
