16U German Championship in Karlsruhe: Young Senators Gains Valuable Experience
At the 16U German Championship in Karlsruhe, five players from the Düsseldorf Senators took the field in the colors of the Cologne Cardinals. As the youngest team in the tournament, the squad faced the best players in Germany in their age group and made the most of the opportunity to gain their first experience on a big stage.
The team showed a courageous performance throughout the tournament. Despite being younger than many of their opponents, the players went into every game with great confidence and took on the strong competition without hesitation. Everyone played well, and each gave everything she had.
For the Senators, it was a special first: for the first time, the club was represented by five players at a 16U German Championship, and all five got their playing time. Vanessa and Patrick Mohr represented Düsseldorf on the team’s coaching staff.
At the end of the tournament, the coaches were visibly proud of their team: “Our girls took on responsibility and grew with every pitch, every play and every contact. It was great to see how much they have developed this year.”
The experience from Karlsruhe is an important step in the development of these young players, and the team can build on it in the years to come.
A special thank you goes to the Cologne Cardinals for giving us the opportunity to take part in this German Championship, and for the great cooperation throughout the tournament.
