What a baseball thriller in Krefeld! The Düsseldorf Senators’ second team secured a spectacular 18–17 road victory over the Krefeld Crows. At one point, it didn’t look at all like Düsseldorf would come out on top.

The Senators got off to a slow start. After the first two innings, the score was 0–8 in Düsseldorf’s favor. The hosts were able to defend their lead in the third inning as well, entering the fourth with a 10–2 advantage.

Then came the turnaround.

Ten Runs in the Fourth Inning

The Senators showed great spirit and went on an outstanding offensive run in the fourth inning. Ten runs in one fell swoop brought Düsseldorf back into the game. Krefeld, for its part, scored three runs, so that after four innings, the score was suddenly only 13–12 in favor of the Crows.
