A new, forward-looking project of the Softball Division
“It’s not about being perfect here. It’s about becoming brave here.”
Starting with the new school year, we, the Düsseldorf Senators, are launching a project at the Freiherr vom Stein Realschule that goes far beyond an ordinary school club: the Softball AG. In cooperation with the Stadtsportbund Düsseldorf (SSB), we are laying the foundation for the next step we’re taking in girls’ and youth development – and this is just the beginning. The Softball AG is intentionally aimed only at girls. Not to exclude others, but to create a space where they can freely try things out – without pressure, without comparisons, without the feeling of having to prove themselves.
A place where being loud, making mistakes, and laughing is allowed. And that’s exactly where girls grow beyond themselves. Because for us, it’s about more than sport. We don’t just guide and shape people athletically – we help them grow, with everything that involves: taking responsibility, dealing with setbacks, trusting themselves. We live a positive culture of learning from mistakes and celebrate the attempt, not just the result.
We believe: girls are the leaders of tomorrow. And that’s exactly why we’re investing in them today.
We look forward to welcoming all girls at the Realschule Freiherr vom Stein who want to try something new, team up with others, and grow beyond themselves.
