Senators Shine in the City of a Hundred Spires

When the German national team takes the field on the international stage, a piece of Düsseldorf is right there with them. Lina Schwippert, pitcher for the Düsseldorf Senators, was part of the German roster at the Prague Softball Week – and returned home with the tournament title in her pocket.

With two strong outings in the circle, the left-hander did her part to secure the victory. Against The North from Canada she threw a complete game, and against the Czech Republic she went one better with a shutout. A final stat line that speaks for itself:

With her performance, Lina ranked among the strongest pitchers of the entire tournament. For the Senators, it’s a proud reminder of the level of talent within their own roster.
