U15 Landesliga: With team spirit to victory in Ratingen

With very good weather conditions, our 15U Landesliga team started the season on Labor Day in Ratingen. The hosts started brilliantly in the first inning and jumped ahead 3-1. The players around the coaches Max, David, Till and Holger kept calm and countered with a very good offense and a concentrated defense. The scoreboard showed 3:4 for the Senators. The next two innings clearly went to the Goose-Necks: 10-4 after the fourth inning.
Even though there were only 3 innings left to play, the team, with 14 players today, didn’t hang their heads. The newly formed U15-LL developed a team spirit and started catching up. Ratingen was leading 11-9 before the end of the seventh inning and the team spirit in the dugout and on the field ensured that the score was 12-12 at the end of the seventh inning.
In extra Innings, our boys really turned up the heat and on New Hermann’s Field the numerous spectators were amazed, because the eighth inning went 8:0 to our Senators: final score 12:20!
