Bezirksliga men win in Bonn

Our second men’s team traveled to Bonn today, the current league leaders, who have been unbeaten in the Bezirksliga so far.
Head coach Max’s team got off to a great start with very good at-bats in perfect weather, so that the score was 2:2 after two innings. Our Senators were on a par with the Bonn team and in the next few innings, the defense in the field got better and better, allowing the Düsseldorf team to build up a lead of 5:2.
The team presented a cohesive team performance, which meant that the league leaders were unable to catch up.
Starting pitcher Kevin and closer Mato on the mound, as well as Christian as shortstop, performed particularly well.
After the seventh inning, the scoreboard showed 7:4 for Düsseldorf. Our second team thus continued its winning streak of four consecutive victories and inflicted its first defeat on the league leaders.

It was a fair and very good game on both sides and we are looking forward to the rematch!
