In the best baseball weather, our 2nd men’s team took the field for their last home game of the season. The team around head coach Max started very focused against the guests from Aachen. Our Senators were on equal terms against the second-placed team for almost the entire game.
A special highlight was Till, who made his debut as a 15U player and was able to shine with an RBI single in his first at bat. He also had a great performance defensively throughout the entire 9 innings. Furthermore, Andy impressed the team and the coaches with a special season performance on the mound. The Greyhounds managed only 8 runs in the entire playing time of 2h 37min.
At the end of the game, the scoreboard showed a narrow 5:8 for Aachen. Next our Senators will meet Ratingen, who they have already won twice against this season. It remains exciting and we are looking forward to the penultimate game of the season in the Landesliga.
