Good games in great weather
The Senators took part in the double header in Wesseling with a minimal line-up. Nevertheless, they showed what they were made of in the first game. Finn pitched the first game of the day and allowed just a single run. The defense stood behind him like a wall and didn’t make any mistakes in the field. After just an hour and half, Wesseling won by said run in an exciting game.
Despite coming off a solid first showing the team couldn’t find their footing. The opponents started with 3 runs against starting pitcher Javier. The next 3 innings Nils-Ole made his debut as a pitcher in the Bundesliga. With 5 runs and a strikeout, he passed the ball to Robin for the last two innings, who, despite very good pitching, was unable to catch up with the Vermins’ lead. With a total of 7 runs on 7 hits, it was unfortunately not enough for the Düsseldorf team to win.
At this point we would like to express our condolences for the loss of the oldest Vermins fan.
We wish you continued success for the rest of the season!
