3 wins in a single day

The winning streak of the Düsseldorf Senators’ 2nd men’s team continues. With a convincing 17:5 victory in the second leg against the Zülpich Eagles, the Senators were able to celebrate their sixth win in a row in the district league. The team put in another impressive performance and underlined their ambitions for the current season.

The game began like the previous meeting between the two teams: The Senators took an immediate 3 run lead. They were already able to take the lead in the first inning thanks to strong at-bats and consistent baserunning. Even though Zülpich equalized in the 2nd and 3rd inning, the Düsseldorfers managed to put them under further pressure.
The Senators’ offense was also the key to success in this game. The experienced batsmen and the talented youngsters stood out in particular with their precise and powerful hits.

But also the pitching of starter Kevin (21BF / 5K’s) and closer Mato (4BF / 2K’s) was first class on this day. They gave the Zülpich Eagles very few chances and controlled the game for long stretches. The defense also proved to be very secure and minimized mistakes, which laid the foundation for the clear victory.

After the game, both coaches of the Düsseldorf Senators were very satisfied. “We showed again today what we’re made of. The win was well deserved and the result of hard work in training,” said Head Coach Max. The players also emphasized the cohesive team performance and the strong team spirit, which contributed significantly to the success.

With the previously won game of the U15 and the away victory of the softball ladies, the Senators were able to win 3 games in one day.
With their sixth win in a row, the team remains optimistic about the upcoming games and is determined to continue their winning streak.
